Juvenia "Porthole" Trench Watch, c. 1915–1920

Sale price$2,200

An early Juvenia wristwatch from the First World War era, when pocket watches were first being adapted for the wrist. Its most striking feature is the pierced hunter-style front cover: twelve round windows reveal the bold enamel numerals beneath, while a central opening shows the white enamel dial with blued quatrefoil hands and small seconds at 6. The case has wire lugs, a hinged back and an oversized fluted crown, and it's fitted on a tan leather cuff strap.
