BRUCE GILDEN
A born and bred New Yorker, Gilden’s work is as much a product of the city as his hard, heavy accent. Internationally renowned for his raw and poignant street photography, he was made a Guggenheim Fellow in 2013, and has been a member of Magnum Photos since 1998.

JÉRÔME SESSINI
Award-winning French photojournalist Jérôme Sessini has covered most of the major conflicts of the last two decades, and was one of the very first people on the scene when Malaysia Airlines flight 17 was shot down over Ukraine in July. He joined Magnum as an associate member this year.

LARRY TOWELL
Canadian photographer Larry Towell is best known for his work in Latin America, the Middle East, and at his seventy-five-acre farm in Ontario. He has been a member of the cooperative since 1988, and currently serves as vice president of its New York office.

PETER VAN AGTMAEL
Responsible for some of the most important images to come out of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, American-born van Agtmael became a member of Magnum in 2013. His second book, Disco Night Sept. 11, was published this year to wide acclaim. The day after our shoot, he left for Gaza.
